I’ve spent 15 years in customer support, and I’ve just decided to learn AI from scratch — and document every single step right here. No computer science degree. No shortcuts. Just an honest attempt, shared in public, so you can learn alongside me.
If you’ve ever felt like AI is this huge, intimidating thing that only engineers in Silicon Valley are allowed to understand — this blog is for you. Because I feel exactly the same way. I’m just choosing to do something about it, out loud.
Who I am (and who I’m not)
Let me be upfront. I’m not an AI researcher. I’m not a data scientist. I don’t write code in my sleep.
I’m a customer support manager at a hospitality software company. I’ve spent my career in BPO and customer experience — starting as an advisor, working my way up to managing teams. That’s my world: real customers, real problems, real pressure.
So why should you read an AI blog written by a support guy? That’s actually the whole point.
Why AI, and why now
AI is changing every industry, and support and operations are right in the firing line. I could either wait and watch it happen to me, or I could learn it and build with it. I chose the second one.
Here’s my honest edge: I’ve spent 15 years watching where businesses actually waste time and money. I know the boring, repetitive problems that drive teams crazy. Most AI content is written by engineers who understand the technology but have never sat on a support floor. I understand the problems. Now I’m learning the tools. That combination is what I want to explore here.
What this blog is about
I’m keeping the promise simple. On this blog you’ll find:
- AI made simple — explained in plain language, with the jargon translated, not thrown at you.
- Free AI tools that actually help — tested by me, with the honest good and bad.
- Step-by-step tutorials for beginners — the kind I wish existed when I started.
- Real projects — things I build, including the parts that break and what I learned fixing them.
No hype. No “AI will change your life in 5 minutes” nonsense. Just a real person figuring it out and showing the working.
My plan (the roadmap)
Learning AI from scratch as a beginner can feel like standing at the bottom of a mountain. So here’s how I’m breaking it down:
- Learn the fundamentals — understand what these tools actually are, without drowning in maths.
- Use the tools daily — get comfortable with AI in real work before trying to build anything.
- Build small projects — apply what I learn to real problems, starting tiny.
- Share everything — the wins, the mistakes, and the “why did nobody explain it this way” moments.
I’m doing this in public on purpose. It keeps me honest and accountable — and it means you don’t have to walk the road alone.
